Hanuman Chalisa was the one of the first shlokas that I learnt and ever since been a Hanuman Bhakt.

Had been long in my mind to sketch this deity.

Birth of Hanuman:
When Agni, the god of fire, gave Dasharath, the king of Ayodhya, a bowl of sacred dessert to share among his wives so they may have divine children, an eagle snatched a part of the pudding and dropped it where Anjana was meditating. Pavana, the god of wind delivered the drop to her outstretched hands. After she took the divine dessert, she gave birth to Hanuman. Born as Hanuman to Anjana, by the blessings of Pavana, he is also know as Anjaneya and Pavanputra.
BOLO PAVANPUTRA HANUMAN KI JAI!!

  1. you inspired me to draw a Hanuman-ji also :) yours looks so blissfully happy like. the story makes him a brother to Ram which is how we teach our BalVihar kids.
