Padàti/Bhata.....What's that?

Chaturanga ...ever heard about it.......
It is an ancient Indian game............
Chaturanga developed in Gupta India around the 6th century A.D.
In the 7th century, it was adopted as Shatranj in Sassanid Persia.........
which in turn was the form that brought Chess to late-medieval Europe......
Ha now we know....Chaturanga.....
It is the common ancestor of the game of Chess.....
Chaturanga had Padàti/Bhata......
now whats that......
Thats the Pawn in Chess as we know it......WOW learnt something.....
